Dr Kelly-Ann Bowles

Director of Research and Head of Paramedicine

Monash University

Professor Bowles is the Head of the Department of Paramedicine at Monash University. Although she has spent the last 9 years developing research and leadership in paramedicine, she has a background as a biomechanist, working in a diverse range of health and medical settings. Kelly has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has attracted more than AUD$3 Million in competitive grants. She has authored over 20 government reports and has leadership roles in government tenders valued at over AUD$10 Million in the next 5 years. She has partnered with Industry and Government departments to deliver research projects and has worked in research and clinical education for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and practising clinicians. Kelly has a passion for encouraging those around her to aim for high quality and relevant outcomes in the research they complete.
