About ACDR

The Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction (ACDR) is ADRC’s annual international conference, which brings together government officials from member countries and global disaster risk reduction (DRR) experts. Hosted by member countries across Asia, ACDR fosters multidisciplinary and cross-sector partnerships to address growing disaster risks and vulnerabilities. It also promotes international cooperation frameworks for DRR within broader development strategies and contributes to the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030). ACDR2026, under the theme “Future-Proofing Transboundary Climate and Disaster Risk Reduction through Advanced Technologies for a Resilient Society,” will focus on strengthening cross-border collaboration and leveraging advanced technologies and data to improve risk assessment, early warning, disaster response, and overall risk reduction. It aims to promote practical solutions and accelerate collective efforts toward building resilient and sustainable societies.
